Will always remember her for her kindly relationship with all of us in the Southern Region. She was more of a sister to us in our contact with the Chancery. No could have treated us wiht more respect and affection especially if there was any conflict with our Bishops. She was a great go-between and a loving helper. You could always count on having her kindness on your side. She is in my Masses and Hours.

For decades Georgene was a human face at the chancery office of Bishop Joseph Schoenherr. She is much appreciated. Many secrets will be buried with her. She is in my prayers especially at the Eucharist.

I am sorry that I will not be able to con-celebrate Georgene's funeral on Monday. As Bishop Schoenherr's secretary, she took special care for all the priests that the bishop ordained, including myself. She will always be remembered by my classmates as "The Queen of the South" for serving the South Region of the Archdiocese with Bishop Schoenherr for so many years. Please know of my love and respect for her and my condolences and prayers for the Carnaghi family.

I always enjoyed hearing the stories about Aunt
Georgene from her nieces. I hope Aunt Georgene will continue to add some spark to family memories like her presence did at your family get togethers. Sending love and prayers

Georgene worked for my Husband, Jack George, at the Archdiocese of Detroit
during the 1960s and was an important part of building special services and the development of the Child Appraisal Center on Boston Boulevard -- and the
expansion of services to special needs children who went through a work training program (at Holy Trinity) and eventual placement in the restaurant industry.

After Jack and I married, Georgene became part of most every celebration for the next 20 years -- from New

We are so sorry we will not be there to celebrate her life but we will be sending our love and prayers. Thinking of all of you

Dear George,
Can't believe you left us. We just spoke on your birthday as we did every year. We shared some of the great memories we had of working together for so many years at the Archdiocese of Detroit. Lots of crazy good times. The world is a bit colder now that you're not here.....but heaven just got that much better! See you on the other side, dear friend. Get the cocktails ready.
