Tribute & Message From The Family
MOAK, HARRY JAMES passed in peace after being surrounded by the love of his family on November 20, 2018 at the age of 77. Harry was born on July 21, 1941 in Flint, Michigan to Jim and Celia (Jones) Moak. Beloved husband of 54 years Mary Lou (nee Wuepper). Loving father of Kathy(Bill)Miskokomon and Jennifer(Craig)Wolffis. Proud grandfahter of Will Miskokomon, Kate and Hannah Cothran and Nathan and Justine Wolffis. Dear brother of Ruth Ann(Bill)Slusser and family. Harry's close, loving family also includes many nieces, nephews, and cousins Harry was an avid golfer, hunter and traveler. By the grace of God, Harry's illness was short and the suffering was minimal. Harry lived every day as if it was a gift from heaven. He lived for his family, friends, hunting and golfing. He was the kindest, most gentle man who went out of his way to share a joke and put a smile on the face of everyone he met. As you think of Harry, play that extra round of golf, or take an extra walk through the woods, or a cruise on the pontoon boat. You will hear Harry's laugh in the evening sunset. Harry will be remembered for his big heart, positive attitude and especially his sense of humor. Life with Harry was never dull! He will forever be missed by all. Condolence & Memory Journal
Hi Mary Lou.
I am sorry to hear about Harry's passing. He was my "Little Brother" when we were TKE'S at Western. What a great guy! Always a funny story or joke to share. We lost touch after graduation. I thought of him often and it would always bring a smile to my face. Mary Lou my condolences to you and your family.
Best,
Larry Rodammer

I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Moak's passing. I was a business student of his back in the 70's and now work at MCC. He was a wonderful teacher and I enjoyed going to class and learning from his lectures. It's teachers like Mr. Moak that make a difference!

Moak Family,
I know we may not know each other, but I am very sorry to hear about your loss and would like to extend to you all my condolences. I hope that you can find strength in these trying times, have friends and family to lean on when it is hard to find, and that Harry's spirit may rest in peace. Take care of yourselves, and each other.
Respectfully,

I first met Harry through his colleagues, particularly Denny Harper, @ Macomb College around 1980. I long ago lost track of (quit counting) the number of times I was a guest at Harry and Mary Lou's cottage in Gaylord for golf outings. Also, many, many golf trips with Harry et al to North and South Carolina and Florida. Any description of what a great person and friend Harry was would be inadequate. My time spent with Harry was always fun and by definition, time well spent. I hadn't seen Harry recently although through mutual friends I kept tabs on him. I won't measure missing Harry by the time I spent with him recently; but rather by the great times I spent with him over our nearly 40 years of friendship. It was my pleasure and great fortune to have Harry as a friend.

42 years of great golf outings, memorable bird hunts, and poker games that you would think were written for Saturday Night Live, punctuated with Harry's jokes and stories. A great man and friend. We will miss him dearly.

Life around the beach won't seem the same without Harry next summer. He and my dad had the same sense of humor and love of life that made them a joy to be around.

Aruba, Easter, 1974 Reg and I were blessed to meet Harry and Mary Lou. Harry was God's ambassador on earth. He distributed happiness wherever he would go. His optimism, kindness, and joy were infectious leaving his friends with such a good feeling of happiness and contentment. Your light will shine bright in Heaven. Travelled many roads with Harry and Mary Lou -Hawaii,St Lucia,Barbados,Puerto Rico and at the last Grand Cayman.
Sherry and I enjoyed the company of the Moaks in all these places. We also had many good times in Gaylord with many great golf games Harry always added much with his humor and intelligence. He will be missed.

I am sorry for your great loss. This tribute is beautiful, and causes me to wish I had known him, a distant Moak cousin. May God bless his family, and help them to find peace in this time of sorrow.
