Condolence & Memory Journal

Joyce was a second mother to me throughout my childhood and teenage years. She had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. She was kind, sweet and always had a warm welcoming personality. I am sorry that we were unable to reconnect before she passed. Joyce you will always hold a warm sunny place in my memories. I love you and miss you. Michelle Jaye Kowalske

I was so sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. I knew her from TACOM and she always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. May she rest in peace.

To the Sawyers family: Jim and I are so sorry for your loss. Although we didn't know Joyce well, we have been friends of your family for decades. We are sorry we cannot be with you at this sad time, but health and committments won't allow it. Know we are praying for you during this sorrowful time.

I am so glad I got to know Joyce..she was up for anything..swimming, bike riding, museum, catering an Indian party, Scrabble, eating out, and always, a movie. She loved life, her friends and especially her family. Rest in peace, dear friend. I will miss your gentle presence and your laughter.

I did not know Joyce as long as some but from the time we met we had an instant friendship. One day my tears will turn to smiles when I think of you. RIP my dear friend.

In 1976 I met Joyce for the first time. We both worked at the Missle Plant at 16 Mile Rd. I was a young Sergeant in the Army. Joyce took the time to introduce me to the staff and teach me how things got done. Over the last 40 plus years she never changed. Joyce always had a smile for everyone. Absolutely one of the sweetest persons I've ever known. I'll never forget our friendship and the kindness in your heart.

It's amazing the things you realize when you lose someone who was just there the other day, you get mad at yourself for not saying the things you could have. Everyone takes for granted there's always tomorrow. Anyone can be taken, at any time in our lives so say I love you, hug your family, because it could all be gone in breath. Love You Karen
