Tribute & Message From The Family

UHL, Caitlin Sara, On Friday, May 10, 2019, at age 33, our radiant, loving Caitlin Sara transitioned from this world to the next.
To attempt to describe Caitlin is to attempt to count the stars in the sky:
Caitlin's striking blue eyes welcomed you, her brilliant smile soothed you, her infectious laugh renewed you, her spirited hugs enveloped you.
Caitlin was, among many other things, an artist, a poet, a music enthusiast, an anthropologist, an archaeologist, a scientist, an activist, an armchair therapist, a lover of animals and nature, and a voracious student of life.
Anyone who knew Caitlin knew that she was as strong as she was tender, as fearless as she was pensive, as silly as she was sincere. She would infuse dull days with luminous laughter, pierce ordinary conversations with stark honesty, and offer sage advice during the darkest times. Caitlin was not only smart – she was clever, witty, and good at everything. Her ability to quickly learn and master any game both amazed and frustrated her family and friends – no one stood a chance at winning if Cait was playing. She was a fierce advocate for those who are often cast aside – particularly her fellowship of brothers and sisters affected by the disease of addiction. If you were Caitlin's family member or friend, you were lucky: she was generous, thoughtful, and had a special way of making others feel seen, heard, and valued. In short, she was remarkable and our world will never be the same without her.
Caitlin is survived by her parents, Kathleen and Robert; her sisters, Coreen and Kellyn; her doggie daughter, Phoebe; her Nama, Beverly McCarthy; her Godfather, "Uncle Buddy Tim" McCarthy; her Godmother, Sue Lewandowski; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Caitlin joins her Papa, Michael McCarthy; her grandparents, William and Leontine Uhl; her uncle William Uhl; her cousin, Kelly Edwards; her dear friend John; and her doggie brother, Oreo, in the next world.
We love you, Cait - today, tomorrow, and always.
