Condolence & Memory Journal

So sorry to hear of Derek's passing. We have been coworkers since he started with RDA, though I haven't worked directly with him for years. Derek was always a great guy to work with as he brought joy and fun to even the most difficult of days. I remember him as someone passionate about life outside of work, so I'm sure he has left an amazing legacy in all those that he loved and cared for. Blessings to those mourning their loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I knew Derek from High School. He was friendly to everyone and always fun to be around. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Derek and I were best friends as little kids growing up next door to each other. I often think about times and things that we did together that still make me laugh. I've probably shared a hundred stories about Derek with my husband and children. I cannot think of one unhappy minute with him. Rest now friend in our Lords loving arms. May faith in our Lord and savior comfort your family now and forever.

I worked with Derek about 12 years ago, before I transferred into my current department. I learned a lot from working with him. One thing that stuck with me in particular is that the work we all do is important, but to never forget that our friends, our family, and our dreams are more important still. I'm grateful to him for helping this idea really stick with me, and will always remember him for it.

To Derek's family...I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear about Derek's death. I had the pleasure of coaching him in basketball for 4 years at St Margaret's. He was a quiet leader on and off the court. Please accept my sincere sympathy. This world was truly a better place because of Derek.
