Condolence & Memory Journal

Mom,
I still don't have the words. This all seems so unreal and impossible to be still. The day I always dreaded came way too soon. You were always there for me and always pushed me to do my best. You supported me all through school and were there for every band concert, parade and band trip. My friends in high school always felt so comfortable with you and dad and could ask your advice. My house was the place everyone wanted to hang out at because they felt so comfortable with you and dad. You thought I was crazy when I first joined the military but supported me all throughout my 20 years, visiting me all the time in Virginia and talking to me long distance every Sunday night. There are so many things and so many moments I will never forget. Had I known that day was the last day I would speak to you, I would have said so much more. I love you and always will. Thank you for helping get where I am today. May God welcome you with open arms and fill you with peace for eternity

Mama,
You will always and forever be my rock. I will miss hearing your voice, seeing your face, feeling your hugs and running to you for help. Life for all of us will never be as bright as it was when you were here in the natural.
I want to say thank you for everything you have done for me and the kids. Thank you for the bond we had that most women long for with their mothers. Our connection as mother and daughter was beyond amazing. Please continue to watch over all of us and guide us as you always have.

So sad to hear this news. Germaine was a mentor and a friend to me many years ago. My thoughts are with Shannon, Jessica, Joe and Terry as well as the grandchildren. She had such a kind soul. ❤

We are all deeply saddened by loss of Germaine. She was a dignified, intelligent, well informed, very caring and loving individual. Her devotion to her family was remarkable. She was a courageous person willing to step forward and be counted when something that she believed in was at stake. I first met her many years before I met Lisa during my years representing Clintondale Schools. Starting then and throughout my encounters with her she displayed those fine qualities. Her grandchildren are so very fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend time with her. Germaine and Terry together have been such wonderful parents and grandparents. Although she will be missed terribly, her legacy within the family will endure.
