Condolence & Memory Journal

Fred was the most unselfish man I have ever known. He loved my Mother (Anne) like no other and opened his heart and accepted me as his a part of his family. I was so fortunate to have had him as a Father and his impact on my life will remain with me throughout my entire life and in the next.

God's will be done and he is now reunited with my Mom and all of his family who have ascended in to God's kingdom.

RIP Pop

Please accept my deepest condolences for your family's loss. One of my best childhood memories was going to Fred and Anne's house and going fishing or going for boat rides. He was a good man and good friend of my beloved father, Douglas Bassil. With his help we had a beautiful, intimate ceremony spreading my fathers ashes over his favorite fishing spot. I am certain they are reunited and fishing once again together. Someone so special can never be forgotten. I pray that you and your family find peace during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about Fred. He was the nicest man. I went to his house in Algonac for many family parties and he was so welcoming to all of us. My parents just adored him. He will be missed.

I love the photo with the obituary! That was Fred with his personality beaming out to the world. We enjoyed his company over the years at NCYC and will certainly miss him. May God illuminate his delightful soul.
