Condolence & Memory Journal

Please forgive the delay, as I just learned of Jack's passing this week. Jack was my Inspector in the DPD in the 90's at an instrumental time in my life. He took a liking to me, mentored me on life and work, and I'll be forever grateful for that generosity and grace that he showed me. Jack leaves behind a legacy that few do. He was an American hero. May God bring peace & comfort to Jack's family and friends as you mourn him.

I knew Happy, that's what people called him. He used to come into Telly's place after work and we started a bond right away. 30 years ago, seems like just yesterday. As our lives led us on different paths, we still were only a phone call away. I last spoke with him 3 weeks ago, I knew he was failing in his health but he still joked around as to make me comfortable, he was big hearted that way. You know he is up there now, the Comedian that he is filling Heaven full of laughter. < You will surly be missed, Deborah Hawkins ( Vaerewyck )
