MaryKathryn, an honor to work for a great boss and to call her my friend. You will be missed.

I had a difficult time to find the words about the passing of our good college friend Mary Kay whom we knew her for almost 50 years. I am so lucky that our college group of friends stayed in touch and had mini reunions in different cities. Mary Kay made it to all of the past reunions. Mary Kay had became the glue to getting together. She, to me, was bright, even tempered ( maybe her children and siblings might disagree), accepting of everyone, and a joy to do things together. I was lucky to spend some time with her in Chicago and get to know some surprising things. She is a great person and my heart is breaking. I cannot imagine the pain of her family losing her. I look at old photos and remember the good times we had. I will miss making new memories and all about her children and family.

I worked with her at Silver Cross hospital. She'll be missed. I'm sorry for your loss and am praying for her family.

My deepest sympathies to Delmar, Christine and family. I am blessed to have had Marykathryn touch my life. She truly was a classy lady. She was beautiful, intelligent, kind, compassionate and always looked for the best in everybody and every situation. She was eloquent in speech and always knew what to say and gave the right advice. Marykathryn was a hard worker and led by example. Yet, she never sought praise or the spotlight. She was selfless and would prefer to let others shine. Marykathryn set an example of how life should be lived: enjoying her family, friends, travel, nature, animals, exploring and learning.

Marykathryn was a precious gem and I am heartbroken that she has passed away far too soon.

To her family I can only imagine your sadness and loss. I worked with MaryK for over 8 years total, she celebrated my highs and she also supported me during some lows professionally. She was my mentor, my inspiration and my healer. She literally saved my life (no drama here) and I only hope she knew how eternally gratful I was for having crossed paths with her. Probably the best part we shared a deep love for SHOES yep she had grace strength and best of all a great fashion sense. I will never forget her and I hope this brings alittle bright light to you her family during such a deeply emotional time. I am sure she will be at the DSW next time do alittle shoes shopping.....forever in my heart

Mary Kay was my room mate at Marygrove college in our senior year. During that year, not only I knew more about her, I had met her parents and all her siblings. We kept in touch after graduation and our "gang of 8" had a reunion every year for the past 20 years.
Mary Kay was a singe mom who was very successful in her career and brought up 2 great children. She was intelligent and kind. I respect her integrity and fun loving nature too.
Her departure completely shocked me. We chatted over emails just a few days before her demise. I shall miss her dearly. RIP, my friend.

Dear Del and Michael,
Jim and I were so sorry to hear about your mom, Del. I'm sure she was a wonderful person because she raised a wonderful son. Rely on each other and take good care of yourselves. We will keep you both and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Love you, Aunt Beth and Uncle Jim

MaryKathryn came to Silver Cross Hospital as the lab manager. She took me under her guidance when I was awarded the histology supervisor job. I am in utter shock at her passing. I never knew what having a mentor to look up to meant, until I met her. She was the most genuine person I have ever met.

Unfortunately, I was only able to meet her a couple of times. When I was with her she was a sweet, kind, pleasant and peaceful person to spend time with. She will be severely missed by many love ones. Rest In Peace.
