Condolence & Memory Journal

My deepest sympathies on the passing of Fran Koliba. Fran was married to my mother's cousin Ed and was always regarded fondly by this branch of her extended family. Someone else here described her as "lively," and certainly she was. She had a way of enlivening any encounter. Fran also was very helpful when I started researching family history after my mom passed away. Godspeed, Fran, and may God's angels open wide the doors of heaven for you.

My mother, Maisie Daniels went to nursing school with Frankie, and they were very close. My mom is very frail, but she wanted to try to come to the visitation on Thursday. Unfortunately, she wasn't up to it, but she sends her love, and thanks, for having such a great friend for all those years.
I met Frankie when I was young, and remember her as a lovely, funny, lively lady. My mother has many fond memories of their shenanigans from the old days :).
May she Rest In Peace with God in heaven.
God bless you all at this sad time,
Kathleen Goussy

Fran was the most wonderful of neighbors. From the time we moved in in 2006 until her passing, she and her late husband were welcoming and friendly. She always looked out for us and those in the neighborhood. One day she called me because she saw a large amount of smoke coming from behind my house. It turned out to be a neighbor burning leaves and not a house fire but if it had been, she would have saved our home from destruction. She always called to have me come pick up box tops to take in to my son's elementary school because all her grandkids were older and didn't need them. She let me come interview her for several hours for a project while I was in grad school. And she was generous enough to let us take advantage of her swimming pool on hot summer days. Over the years she became a part of our extended family. We watched for her blinds to open in the morning, checked in to see if she needed anything from the store on bad winter days, and let her know that we were always a phone call away if she needed anything at all. We are deeply sorry for your loss. Her warm smile and cheerful waves will be missed by all of us in the neighborhood.

Auntie Fran,
I will always remember seeing you at the family's "famous" get-togethers, Especially at the holidays.
Although we will all miss you, Uncle Ed has been waiting a long time to be with you again.
May the Lord Bless you and your Family,
and may all the Angels in Heaven guide your Beautiful Soul

Sorry to hear about your mom. I remember all the times she amer over to our house when Pat and Cheryl couldn't handle us any more. So was a lovely lady and a ball of energy I went into nursing because of her. She's an inspiration
