Condolence & Memory Journal

We all called her Margie ! She was tiny, cute, w/ an infectious laugh ! She was my older cousin who was kind and caring. It was 1954 - the year my brother David was born that I remember this well as I was sent to stay w/ Margie's family while my mother was in the hospital. I was 10 yrs old & Mary Ann was 9 ,, Margie took us with her to a corner bakery where she worked for a few hours one day during that December I stayed w/ them. Mary & I sat on boxes behind the counter while Margie waited on customers --- Margie slipped us cookies during those few hours we were there , telling us "you kids be quiet" ! To this day I just love those Kolache cookies ! We walked out of that bakery w/ powdered sugar on our faces from the Kruszicki too ! Margie put a few in a bag for each of us ---- The other memory I have of Margie is at her wedding --- she looked like a princess in her white full wedding gown ! So beautiful dancing w/ her handsome husband John ! they both took my hands and allowed me to dance w/ them. Then memories of visiting Margie's house where there was always a pot of Spaghetti sauce on the stove. !!!! And the best memory was when we each were both pregnant w/ our last child - we lived in Warren just a few blocks from each other ! We would sit in her yard , laugh & talk about "what will our babies be - boy or girl ?" We both had sons born just a few weeks apart. The last two times we saw each other was just in the past couple months ---- She hugged me tight and said "Enjoy your life w/ your husband -- I miss mine so much" So now Marge you and John are together -- Enjoy each other - your love for him was long and true. Sleep well princess. Sending you Love and Hugs ! ---- Cousin , Patti Zager
