Crystal Michelle Wittersheim, age 38, died on January 10, 2013 at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital-Macomb Center, In Warren, Michigan. She was born June 6, 1974 in Garden City, Michigan to James (Theresa) Purcell and the late Anita (nee:Fall) Tuominen.
Shortly after graduation in 1992 from Annapolis High School in Dearborn Heights, Crystal worked some odds and ends jobs. She was a girl who enjoyed life to its fullest. Crystal loved her children with all her heart,...she would do anything for her babies. You could find her paging through magazines, catalogs, and books looking for ideas for her kids Halloween costumes. She would host the annual "Ugly Sweater" party at Christmas for her friends and family. If she wasn't having a Halloween or Christmas party you could always count of her to planning a made-up party or any random party just so everyone could get together. Crystal was wild, fun, loving, caring, and funny person. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald; her children, Makayla, Jacob, Hannah, Parker, and Daphney; her father, James Purcell; her siblings, Melissa, Michael, Amanda (Steve), Joey, Michael, and Randy; her nieces and nephews, Anita, Spencer, Lily, Addsion, Moira, and Kirsten. She is also survived by many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Anita Tuominen.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 2pm until the time of her eulogy service at 5:30pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road).
Please share memories at her memory book.

It has been almost a month since you passed away and i am missing you more and more each day. I stare at your picture all day long and read these polite and very nice messages people have been leaving for you. It just goes to show how many hearts you have touched. I keep remembering about all the memories when we were little and growing up together. The time i ran the station wagon almost into the river and you marched miles in the dark for a tow truck driver. Or the silly pranks you pulled on me when i was in the Navy. I wish you were here still and i still cant believe you are gone. I always want to text you like i always have done before or play our movie quote game. I know you are up there looking down on all of us, and i know one day we will meet again. Its hard to lose a mother, and then a sister in a lifetime, but i will stay strong and stay in your children's lives forever. You had an amazing husband and i will always be his brother. I miss you a lot Crystal and it hurts more than ever. Just seeing your precious smile puts a smile on my face and i know everything will be ok, especially since i know your in a much better place. I love you very much.

Two years ago I was claimed on a website to be someone's 'bestie' and from that day that woman grew to be a major part of my life. My life is richer for knowing her. We shared so many highs and lows and I will miss her greatly. Crystal was such a proud mother I was blessed to have her share some stories with me which always had me laughing. Condolences to all who have been affected by the passing of such an inspirational woman I know she was very important to a lot of people. Crystal "you're still a rockstar" and I bet you're showing off your "rock moves" As I promised I will think of you everyday my bestie.

I only knew Crystal from hanging with her online, especially back in the "MySpace days". She gave me many laughs and brightened many days. "Secret Agent Man" will forever be "Secret Asian Man" thanks to her LOL. I know she meant a lot to many people and will be missed more than words could ever say. My heart goes out to her husband, children, family and many friends.

Didn't know her that well except through online gaming. I thought she was a very funny person and that's why i sent here a friend request on cellufun. I'm very shocked to hear of her passing and she will be deeply missed by friends as well as family. I feel deeply for her close survivors. God bless them and God bless her AKA "beevomit" LoL

From knowing Crystal online and off, the thing she said that always stuck with me was right after Easter one year when she posted about coloring eggs with her kids. She ended with "I really love being a mom." She will surely be missed. Rest In Peace my friend. All my heartfelt sympathy to Don and the kids.

There's so much I could say..I said some of it at the service tonight. When Crystal and I were teens one of our favorite Disney movies to watch was Cinderella..we LOVED that movie! Our favorite and most memorable part was with Jaq and Gus the mice..we would recite "Where's Gus Gus..oh well..res he got away (said in mouse voice)." At any given time we would just bust out and recite that part. We partied and danced a lot. Just about every weekend we'd go out and Rosie was always our designated driver (thank God.) Crystal and I were always partners in Euchre and we kicked butt at it. We had some dramatic emotional times in our lives and we were always there for each other. I remember Makayla, Jake, and Hannah's birth. She used to joke when she had Hannah because I was in the delivery room when she had her and say that I was Hannah's dad. Parker was born the day my husband and I got married and after that we went different routes in life. But I never forgot about her..I've always loved Crystal she was always my BFF. I never knew Daphney but I knew she had her. I hope and pray that Don and the kids will turn toward the Lord in this very difficult time..my prayers are with you all. <3>

I have know Crystal for about 15years, she is related to a family member in my family. When I met crystal back then my daughter were very young, she use to babysit for me and I can honestly say my girls loved her and she always did a great job doing it. She would spoil them with having so much fun, Crystal and I became friends then grew apart due to our lives moving in different areas but we kept in touch there for awhile, I always had fun, she was always kind with a big heart and always smiled no matter what. Although we grew apart she was always in my heart, she will be missed, my heart goes out to her family but especially for her children and her husband.

First of all, I love everyones comments on here. She truely touched the hearts of many in ways she might not have even realized. She was my friend, one of the best i've ever had. She taught me many things without even knowing it, she made me laugh when times were hard, she helped me cry when the shoulder was needed. Our adventures together were irreplaceable and the memories of course will live on forever. I could write 10 pages of times we had and laughs we shared, but, i'll save that for another time. And anohter time there will be, I will share your stories forever. I will wear ugly sweaters, I will scream sing, and I will raise a glass to you for as long as live in this world and until we can meet again in next where I hope we can get back to our old tricks again. I miss you, I love you, I'll see you in another life.

I can remember first meeting Crystal in Red Hook ( I am a friend of Mike). She was such a fun loving kid (she was in her teens when I met her). Every time I came over to hang out with Mike, she had a smile on her face and was such a pleasure to be around.
God Bless and My Prayers are with you all

The memories are endless with for me and Crystal. Starting from when I was young, to the memories I have of her and my son lil Eric aka "willie whittersheim" we fought, we laughed, we cried, and we partied like the best of them! I also remember when her little ones were born. Makayla: I remember nana puttin pretty fluffy dresses on you. Jake: the best one of you I have with your mom, is when you were in her belly. I use to lay my head on her belly just to get you going.. (kickin away) Hannah: well, Crystal had the great idea to go for a swim... I didn't know that was the "master plan" to have you. We swam, and as soon as we got out, her water broke in Aunt Sandy's kitchen. Parker: Crystal and I were preg at the same time. Comparing bellies, crazy cravings, and the excitement that we were both having boy's! Daphney: I wasn't around much for her. She looks just like Crystal! Bubbly, fun loving, and full of smiles! Pocket full of sunshine! As most of you guys have mentioned, her parties were always pretty random, but always lots of laughs, and great times. She loved just havin everyone around, havin a good time pranking and laughing! Which reminds me.. shaving scotts eye brow was the funniest memory ever!! I believe we both pee'd a lil, we laughed so hard! And he had graduation the next day! Great stuff!! She will surely be missed, but never forgotten! With lots of love, hugs, and kisses!! See ya on the other side Crystal! <3>

Sorry accidentally deleted message thru tears. Crystal you are very loved by many. I wish you knew how many people miss you right now, I am grateful to have met you and had such a wonderful person in my life. I remember us making plans the Thursday before you went into the hospital to go cut down a Christmas tree and maybe go bowling! Its the silly things like that that people cherish the most. I wish I could have came to see you at the hospital or at least sent flowers but times are tough. If I can't make it tomorrow to come see you I promise I will try to find your burial location and come see you. We all love and miss you and I hope that now you are pain free and can rest in peace knowing how many people miss and love you. I give her family my condolences I am sorry you have all lost an amazing person from your life! She was always here for me when I needed her, when I had surgery and tests done she always wanted to be there with me. I love you Crystal. Rest in peace.

Crytal was my big sister that everyone should have. If you were to think of someone who was wild and free spirited and so caring it would be her. Her amazing smile and bubbly personality would turn a persons bad day upside down. She had an amazing family that need all the support they can get now. Her children are amazing and have great memories. The memories I have of her I will cherish. I know she is my gaurdian angel now that will help guide me through the hard times, and will be there to celebrate the good times. Although you are no longer here physically, you will always be with me spiritually. Everyone who had the privalidge to know how amazing my sister was lucky. Those who knew her personality know how funny she was. So the next time you are having a christmas party remember the sweater parties she had. And if you are sleeping you can bet she is right there waiting to prank you. I will always love you Crystal with all my heart and you will always be my big sis. Your in good hands now and with mom again. Please guide everyone in the right direction as the way you would have if you were still here today. Please dance and give mother a hug for me. Until we meet again, I love you with all my heart.
