PLOTNIKIEWICZ, Edward R. "Ed". March 6, 2020. Age 81. Beloved husband of Anna for 53 years . Loving father of Christine Guidot (John), Mark Plotnikiewicz (Jennie), Matt Plotnikiewicz (Alana) and Renee Tedder (Craig). Proud and loving Papa of 12 grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 brother. As a young man he learned to work hard helping his parents build a log cabin in the Jersey Shore. He entered the Army and served his country proudly. He then met the love of his life, Anna on a blind date arranged by Anna's sister, Dolores. They married and went on to have 4 children.
He was an active member of the St. Michael's chapter of the Knights of Columbus and an avid world traveler. Ed was known for his sense of humor, his Polish pride, birdhouse building and his passion for fishing always promising just one last cast. He especially enjoyed volunteering his time at the Henry Ford Medical Center as well as with Meals on Wheels. Visitation Sunday 3-8 pm with a 7 pm Scripture service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Instate Monday 10:30 am until time of 11 am Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Rd. (N. of 17 Mile Rd.), Sterling Hts. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions to the St. Michael's Catholic Community, Knights of Columbus Chapter 13799 are appreciated.
