JANET CAROL(Penzien) DeQUICK was born on August 22, 1939 to Milton and Velma Penzien in Ray Township, Michigan. Janet peacefully died on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Chesterfield Township, Michigan. She is predeceased by her husband Philip DeQuick and ex-husband Gerald Moore. She is survived by her children Martin (Peggy) Moore, Susan (Scott) Hahn, and Carol (William) Chastain. She is also survived by her grandchildren Eric Moore, Adam Moore, Alexandra (Riley) Howsden, Lauren Hahn, Erin Hahn, Jesse Chastain and Mitchel Chastain. Janet grew up spending much of her childhood on her grandmother Lesters farm in Peck, Michigan. She later graduated from Clawson High School and went on to marry Gerald Moore with whom she had three children. She was a devoted mother who enjoyed cooking, sewing, and taking care of her family. After her children moved out of the home she went to community college and became a dental assistant. She married Philip DeQuick and began a new career at the 41b District Courthouse as a clerk where she retired. Janet and Philip moved to Louden, Tennessee where they began to build their retirement home. After the sudden death of her husband Philip DeQuick she moved to Macomb, Michigan where she spent her days enjoying her family and her many lifelong friends. Janet was a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Harrison Township, Michigan. Funeral arrangements are: Visitation Thursday, March 23, 2017 2:00pm-9:00pm, at the Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Pkwy. (16 Mile). Friday, March 24, 2017, at Knox Presbyterian Church, 25700 Crocker Boulevard, Harrison Township, Michigan, instate at 10:00am, funeral service at 11:00am. Interment Elk Township Cemetery.
