BERNIER, Joseph Richard. November 6, 2018. Age 85. Beloved husband of Geraldine (nee: Moebs). Loving father of Michael Bernier (Sandra), Michelle Carter (Benjamin), David Bernier (Diane) and Linda McAlpine (the late Eric). Proud and loving grandfather of Matthew, Melissa, Daniel, Christa, Brenden, David Jr. and Ryan. Dear brother of Lucille, Jeanette and the late Therese. Mr. Bernier enjoyed cars and boats; he proudly served in the tank division of the United States Army during the Korean War and had a 32 year career as a plant engineer for General Motors. More than anything else in life, he loved his family and being with them. Visitation Thursday 3-9pm with a 7pm Scripture service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 54880 Van Dyke (at 25 Mile Rd.), Shelby Township. Instate Friday 9:30am until time of 10am Mass at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 54045 Schoenherr (S. of 25 Mile Rd.), Shelby Township.
