SCHMIDT, Roger Frank. March 29, 2017. Age 75. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee: Carr) for 50 years. Loving father of Wendy Schmidt, Randi Schmidt, Roger Christopher Schmidt (Brandy), Andrew Schmidt and the late April Schmidt. Proud and loving Papa of Roger Brennen, Scarlet and Fallyn. Dear son of the late James and Margaret Schmidt and brother of Daniel Schmidt (Carolyn), Charlene Morris (Harry), Dennis Schmidt and the late Edward Schmidt. Roger was the retired owner of Metropolitan Equipment Rental in Shelby Township and a former Parks Commissioner of Oakland Township. He was an avid sportsman who loved nature and being outdoors and will be best remembered as a caring man with a huge heart who truly tried to make a difference and help everyone he met. Roger was also a deeply spiritual man who had a strong faith that he lived and passed on to his children. Visitation Saturday 6-9pm and Sunday 2-9pm with a 7pm Scripture service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 54880 Van Dyke (at 25 Mile Rd.), Shelby Twp. Instate Monday 9:30am until time of 10am Mass at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1400 Inglewood (S. of Tienken Rd., E. of Rochester Rd.), Rochester. Interment, Romeo Cemetery.
