AHMED, SAKINA J. Age 83 Died peacefully on February 24th, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Noor Ahmed who preceded her in death on July 31, 1987 after 31 years of marriage. Loving Mother to her son Jack(Kathy)Ahmed and daughters Diane(Tim)Stringer, Carol(Terry)Riggs and Judy(Keith)Allen. Loving Stepmother, and friend to Marie(Don)Phillips. Proud Grandmother to Monica Schmelter, Donna Johnson, Don Phillips Jr., David Ahmed, Samantha Ingham, Jason Stringer, Eric Stringer, Sadie Willis, Adam Allen, Ryan Stringer, Austin Allen, Amanda Allen and Aspen Allen. Great Grandmother to Cali, Adalynne, Capri, Wesley, and Journey. She was born Sakina Lalbaz on June 1st 1934 in Pakistan and married Noor Ahmed in 1956 and moved to America shortly thereafter and started a family. Prior to coming to America, she had never left her small hometown of Yasin Pakistan. Although she had not been to school and did not speak English, Sakina adapted quickly and very well to her new country and home. Sakina's life was her husband and children. When her husband became ill she took him home and personally cared for him until he passed on. Since then her desire was that her children would all live full and happy lives. She took joy in knowing that her children and grandchildren were all doing well and living good lives. Visitation Tuesday 9:00am until time of Service at 11:00am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Interment Roseland Park Cemetery.
