PALMER, William R. "Bill". March 31, 2018. Age 87. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of 67 years, daughter Gail Wysocki-Shipman and husband Mike, sons Dan and Jim and wife Kim, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill had a long and successful career spending the majority of his time at The Detroit News, later became Publisher of Monthly Detroit Magazine, finishing his career at the Adcraft Club of Detroit. He was an avid sportsman, boater and card player. Most important in his life were his family, his loving wife Dorothy and the friendships he cherished. Visitation Thursday 2-9pm with a 6pm Funeral Service at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons Inc., 36900 Schoenherr Rd. at Metro Parkway (16 Mile).
