DUCICH, Dorothy, J., (nee Pyrah) February 21, 2011 Age 71. Beloved wife of Jacob "Jack" for 51 cherished years. Loving mother of Debra Denton and Jack (Linda) Ducich. Proud grandmother of Melissa, Lauren, Lindsay, Scott, and Jacob Denton, and Jacob and Katelyn Ducich. Dear sister of Robert (Linda) Pyrah, Mary Jo (Jim) Ballard, and half brother Charles (Marcia) Pyrah. Predeceased by her half brother Norman Warner. Survived by several nieces & nephews. Dorothy was born on August 19th, 1939 in Roseville, MI. She attended and graduated from Roseville High School where she was a member of the school's marching band as a majorette. It's there that she met her future husband, her high school sweetheart, Jacob. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved boating, gardening, traveling, and especially enjoyed going up North, but nothing made her happier than spending time with her family. She was a Girl Scout leader that instilled high personal standards. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Dorothy's honor would be appreciated to the Capuchins. A Memorial Visitation will be held March 12, 2011, at 10:00am until time of Memorial Service at 11:00am at Shepherd's Gate Lutheran Church 12400 23 Mile Rd., Shelby Twp., MI 48315. (East of the Van Dyke Expressway). Share memories with the family at their "On-Line Guestbook" @ WujekCalcaterra.com.
