ULRICH, ROBERT S. Age 85 Passed away January 14, 2013. Beloved husband of Marilyn Jeanne (nee Cousino) his wife of 59 years. Dearest father of Aime(Lance)Lindsay & Alicia(John)Ratey. Adored grandfather of Cameron Robert Lindsay. Dear brother of Jane Sommerfeld. He enjoyed a loving extended family and a large circle of friends. A lifelong educator, Dr. Ulrich held a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, worked in the Detroit Public Schools for 17 years and was founding principal of Sterling Heights Stevenson, where he served nearly three decades. A proud Navy Veteran, "Doc" was passionate about the Wolverines, his home on Lake Huron, and those he loved. Memorial visitation Friday 3-9pm. Memorial Service Saturday 11:00am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons Inc. 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd.. In lieu of flowers, the family is creating an educational scholarship fund in his name.
